This movie can be compared in a lot of ways to a piece of abstract art. You can look at it and find appreciation in what there is to be enjoyed about it, or you can dismiss it all at once because it's not your type of art. Or you may not be into art at all. Either way, the point is that art, and cinema, among many things, are subjective in nature. One can look for and find meaning in many things in a piece of art and this movie qualifies as one. One can also dismiss it entirely or even find it extremely frustrating and annoying.

Many critics have and will continue to praise this film and the things it’s doing, the questions it raises and ponders, the questions it leaves unanswered. Other will leave this movie very unhappy and feel it was a waste of time. The point is, if you look at the good qualities of this film, you can most certainly find them. The screenplay and dialogue is certainly among the best of the year. The writing is captivating and one of the film’s strongest assets. The music is another, an excellent score can help any movie. The acting is actually pretty decent, although you won't see any names here among awards contenders.

That being said, in and of themselves, the redeeming qualities do not hold this film together. They are simply pieces of something that is not a whole to begin with. Like having 40 different puzzle pieces, only they've come from 3 different 50 piece puzzles. A few pieces fit together here and there but the picture they bring together don't line up with any of the others. This film is one that can be interpreted many, many, many ways. This film is interesting in the setup and most people will stay with the film for the first two acts, but will get lost in the minutiae of the third.

Critics will enjoy most of what the film is doing, even if they aren't able to decipher or interpret what the film is saying. I'm leaving it at a 6 of 10 for a critic score but with the caveat that with more time to sit on this film, there's room for it to go up in overall score. General audiences will be entertained but eventually give up trying to figure out something that cannot be completely understood and, like I said, may even leave many annoyed with this movie. It'll be at a 3 of 10 for general audiences and I recommend this film only for really die hard moviegoers and recommend even them to enter this movie with an open mind.
